Why do blackbirds fly against each others? - Qomplainerz - 03-06-2021 Recently I have encountered some noisy male blackbirds. They seemed to be nervous so I looked if there's maybe a cat or a human nearby, but that wasn't the case. Then I saw them starting to fly and during the flight two of them hit each others bellies. I think they do that for two reasons: 1. Showing each others the borders of their territories 2. Impressing females to find a partner for mating |
